Uae Foreign Minister Condemns Downing Of Russian Jet By Turkey

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan condemn the downing of Russian jet by Turkish F-16s, addressing the fifth meeting of the UAE-Russia joint ministerial committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, on Nov. 27.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed underlined the UAE's condemnation of the series of terrorist acts that struck many countries recently.

In his statement, UAE Foreign Minister also condemned the downing of SU-24 Russian jet in Syria by Turkey's F-16s, along with the deadly downing of a Russian plane in Egypt claimed by the Islamic State (IS).

UAE Foreign Minister's statement did not adress Turkey's name, while condemning the shot down.

Russian SU-24 bomber had been downed by Turkey due to violation of Turkish airspace,on Nov. 24.

Denis Manturov, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, chaired his country's delegation at the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State, and a number of senior officials and representatives of companies in both countries.

Ways of enhancing economic, trade and investment cooperation were discussed at the UAE- Russia joint meeting.
