Nilüfer Demir / Muğla, Sep 21 (DHA) - In Bodrum resort town in Aegean province of İzmir, a female green initiative known as 'Fancy women' pedaled within their special bike tour event, in order to encourage sustainable and active transportation and raise awareness.
While the first 'Fancy Women Biking Tour' had been held in İzmir three years ago, this year this particular event was held in various cities within the 'Day of Automobile-free Cities?.
A part of the event was held in Bodrum with around 50 female attendees on their bikes, all dressed up with balloons and multiple toys. A number of men also attended the event.
'Cycling can become a part of our daily lives. We can all assure our transportation to our work, home and anywhere we would like to go, just like women in other countries. As women, we should hit the road without fear. We demand respect to bikers and woman at traffic' announced the 'Fancy Women?.
