Arapgirli Tarzan opens summer season with his clarinet and cümbüş
Ümit Aydın, also known as 'Arapgirli Tarzan', who has been living in the Kozluk Creek Canyon in Malatya for 23 years with only shorts on, said he opened the summer season by entering the overflowing creek after the heavy rain. Aydın, who spends most of the four seasons with only shorts on, entertains visitors by singing folk songs with his clarinet and cümbüş. Despite the occasional floods in the region due to heavy rainfall, Aydın opened his season and said, 'I play my clarinet and sing.'
