Levent Gündüz / Strasbourg, Aug 24 (DHA) - In the Haguenau district of northeastern Strasbourg city in France, the 56th 'Festival Houblon' - international folk dance and music festival to celebrate end of 'houblon' (hob) harvest- was held within the 900th anniversatry celebrations of the district, between August 18 and 23.

Within the six-day-long festival, folk dances, music, animations have been introduced by around 500 artists coming from five continents across the world such as silk road Uzbekistan, home of tango Argentina. Eskimos from north pole also enchanted the festival crew, in their costumes.

Haguenau is known as the district through which the red color, a dominant color on the country's flag and culture as well, has spread across France.

Thus, streets of the touristic district of Haguenau, known with its medieval architecture, hosted various cultures, within the show of artists and animators, including peg-leg acrobats in red costumes.
